Standardized approaches to modeling and examination of neuropsychiatric disorders (SAME-NeuroID)
The SAME-NeuroID project is a joint initiative led by Łukasiewicz – PORT (Poland) with Paris Brain Institute (France), Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry in Munich (Germany) and Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam (Netherlands).
The scientific focus of this initiative includes standardizing protocols for modeling neurobiological parameters associated with neuropsychiatric disorders, one of the most serious problems in modern society.
The components of the SAME-NeuroID platform are two platforms covering key aspects of target validation: in vivo assays for evaluating social behaviour deficits in rodents, and in vitro assays for examining cellular phenotypes related to psychiatric diseases in the context of human neural cells.

Pan-European Network for Neuroscience Research Infrastructure and Strengthening of Support capacities (PANERIS)
PANERIS aims to elevate the research and innovation (R&I) capacities in neuroscience within Widening Countries by focusing on the impact of obesity and addiction on brain health across the lifespan. The project seeks to address critical challenges in public health through a multidisciplinary approach, enhancing the understanding of these conditions and developing effective intervention strategies.
PANERIS serves as a coordination and support platform, strengthening the internationalisation and competitiveness of neuroscience research in Poland (Institute of Pharmacology, PAS), Lithuania (Vilnius University | Life Sciences Center), and Portugal (Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine). By partnering with a leading research institute in Spain (The Fundació de Recerca Clínic Barcelona – Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer), PANERIS advances the participating countries’ R&I infrastructure, fostering collaboration and capacity building to achieve excellence in neuroscience research and innovation.
Panel Guests:
- Jan Rodriguez Parkitna – Maj Institute of Pharmacology Polish Academy of Sciences, Cracow, Poland
- Toni Andreu – EATRIS, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
- Osvaldas Rukšėnas, Vilnius University, Vilnius, Lithuania
